Bhutan - Festivals in the Fall

Even before you have landed in the remote kingdom of Bhutan you know you are arriving at a very special destination. As you peek out the window of the plane you find yourself surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Himalayas, descending into a valley, that even from the air, has the mystical quality of existing in an era that the rest of the world has long forgotten. Each month a special festival in a different location heralds a new season or marks a significant occasion with music, dance and social gaiety. This is part of the magical charm of Bhutan. Our tour will take you to the remote Eastern part of the country and will include the highlights of Western and Central Bhutan as well.

 Tour Schedule

Day 1
NOV 13 : BANGKOK – PARO - WANGDI
Arrive Paro, Bhutan by Druk Air flight from Katmandu. Complete arrival formalities and transfer to Wangdi for Overnight at Hotel Dragon Nest


Day 2
NOV 14 : WANGDI – BUMTHANG
Full day transfer to Bumthang visa Trongsa and Gangtey Valley. Overnight Gongkhar Hotel.


Day 3
NOV 15 : BUMTHANG
Enjoy the most unique Jambay Lhakhag Festival in Bumthang.


Day 4
NOV 16 : BUMTHANG
Enjoy the festival as well as sightseeing in and around Bumthang Valley


Day 5
NOV 17 : BUMTHANG - TRONGSA
Morning, watch Festival. Afternoon transfer to Trongsa for Overnight at Hotel Puen Zshi or Yangkhil Resort.


Day 6
NOV 18 : TRONGSA - PUNAKHA
Transfer to Punakha with nature and cultural sightseeing stops en-route. Overnight Punakha at Hotel Zangdto Pelri.


Day 7
NOV 19 : PUNAKHA - THIMPHU
Morning, sightseeing in and around Punakha Valley including visit to the most beautiful Punakha Dzong. Afternoon, transfer to Thimphu for Overnight at Hotel Pedling or Wangchuk.


Day 8
NOV 20 : THIMPHU - PARO
Enjoy full day sightseeing in and around this unique capital city of Bhutan. Late afternoon transfer to Paro for overnight at Hotel Holiday Home.


Day 9
NOV 21 : PARO
Full day sightseeing in and around Paro Valley including hike up to the view point of famous Taktsang, Tiger’s Nest Monastery.


Day 10
NOV 22 : PARO - BANGKOK
Early morning drive to Paro Airport for departure to Bangkok by Druk Air flight. TASHI DELEK!
