Hi Duptho,
Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday in your country. It is truly a majestic place, completely unspoilt by too much commercialisation.
Both Tashi and Karma took excellent care of us and took great pains to ensure we were able to enjoy the entire tour completely. Could you send me their e-mail addresses, if they have, or their mail addresses as we would like to drop them e-mails/letters thanking them as well.
Thanks once again.
Regards,
Chitra
Dear Mr. Duptho,
We arrived in Chennai as per schedule.I would like to thank you & your team for making our Bhutan trip a memorable one.We enjoyed visiting your country & hope to visit again in the future.
1. Our arrival at Bagdogra could have been better managed.
2.Hotel Druk at Phuntsholing was Good to very Good.We had an excellent Bhutanese dinner. Our drive from Phuntsholing to Thimpu was very enjoyable. Both Rinchen& Tenzin did more than what we expected to keep us comfortable and well informed about Bhutan. Namgay Heritage Hotel was ok.Comfortable but both the room & the service could have been better.Food was not good, the choice was very limited for a vegetarian.
3. Your team showed us the important sights of Thimpu & we had time to explore a bit of shopping. We arrived at Punatsangchu Cottages. The room was basic and the toilet leaked all night making a pool of dirty water in the bathroom.Very badly maintained hotel.Poor service & the food was pathetic.I will not send anyone to this place even though the river view from the room was fantastic.
4.Our stay at Punaka/Wangdi ,Tashi Namgay Resort was ok.Room was clean, service was good and the food was not bad.We did not want to climb Tigers Nest, therefore Rinchen/Tenzin took us to a point about 4000 meters hight where we had a nice picnic lunch packed thoughtfully by them. The view from top was mind blowing, we enjoyed this trip to the top immensly.
Both Rinchen & Tenzin showed remarkable patience in explaining the sights and telling us a bit of history.Tenzin is an excellent driver who never made us uneasy driving the mountain road.Rinchen has a good basic knowledge as a guide. They were kind, helpful and made our trip very enjoyable without any fear.
Overall You & Your company are to congratulated for a tour well organised. You should be proud of the two young men who made it all possible.
Tashi Delek,
Raj & Meera
Dear Duptho,
Kuzuzangpola! I wish to express my sincere thanks to you and your team (Rindzin and Sonam) for showing me and Bee Lian your beautiful, peaceful country. It is so pristine and steeped with so many hidden treasures, fascinating scenery and people, cultural sights, monasteries, Dzongs, natural wonders and not forgetting the friendly hospitality of the Bhutanse people.
I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation that's filled with so much fun and laughter rendered by your caring, courteous and fun-loving guide and driver who went all the way to please and make us happy with anecdotes, jokes and local cuisine. We saw takins (Bhutan's nationa animal ) and many rare birds including the Himalayan Griffon (vulture) and the endangered grey langur (monkey). We were spellbound by the many multi-coloured wild rhododendrons that greeted us wherever we went.
I came as a seeker but I left with many fond and unforgetable memories of your beautiful country, so unspoilt despite modern technological advancements. I felt like I was in the legendary kingdom of SHAMBALA (which I have read about), a land ruled by benevolent kings where man and animals live peacefully side by side in harmony with nature and its environment.
Thank you very much for the lovely tangka of Guru Rinpoche. It must be my reward for completing my arduous climb to Taktsang Monastery (tiger's nest) and back down. Taktsang is the hightlight of my tour. I am glad I made it to the top, 900 metres above the Paro valleyl, a monastery perched precariously on the cilffs where Guru Rinpoche meditated for several months. It is truly a holy and awesome place steeped with the divine presence and energy of Guru Rinpoche.
May your lives be filled with great happiness just as you have make our stay in Bhutan a happy, enjoyable, restful and memorable one. I am truly humbled to have been given a glimpse of your culture and people and your meaure of standard of living by GROSS NATIONAL HAPPINESS.
Hope to see you soon in Malaysia where we can return your kindness.
With warm regards,
Krystal Low

Bhutan Trip from 1st to 5th October
Hello Duptho,
Rinchen tells me I may get a chance to see you tomorrow morning at the airport, but in the meantime I wanted to write you a quick letter to thank you for a fantastic experience. This trip has been wonderful, exactly what I needed and more than I expected. It is very reassuring to know that in the middle of wars, famine, misery in the world, that a paradise like Bhutan exists and is safe and secure.
Specifically, I wanted to express my appreciation for Rinchen and Chimi, they were terrific friends and helpful experts. Since I was travelling alone, they easily knew when to be guides, when to tell stories, and when to be friends, sharing meals together and laughing. They had a very good instinct for the things I was interested in, and so my visit featured everything from dzhongs, temples and Buddhist history to archery, hiking, darts and tasting Bhutanese chhang. Chimi and Rinchen are two great guys, and good ambassadors of your business. I will happily recommend Shangri-La, Rinchen and Chimi to friends of mine.
Rinchen also seemed to know the secrets of how to get things done - somehow everywhere we went he knew who to talk to or had a friend there to help. I watched as other tourists came and went without entering special temples or having great conversations with a Lama, to name just two examples. This is a loss for the other tourists, but I consider myself lucky for getting just a little bit more out of these last few days.
Hope to see you in the morning, but already I can thank you for an unforgettable and peaceful experience. I can say with certainty that I love Bhutan.

Dear Rinzin, You are very welcome! We did reach home safe and sound, but will remember our trip to Bhutan as a wonderful experience. I have already been recommending Bhutan to friends and colleagues and will be speaking to several groups about the trip. I will recommend Shangri-La Bhutan Tours & Treks very highly to anyone who has an interest in visiting Bhutan. Thank you again for making our visit such a nice experience! Chris & Leon,

Dear Mr Rinzin.
Having just returned from India three days ago, I would like to send you my thanks for arranging a very good tour of Bhutan. I will never forget my visit to your country. Although I have seen many countries in Asia, Bhutan was possibly the very most beautiful of them all.
I also wish to ask you to forward my best wishes to Utam and Dorji for taking me around Bhutan for two weeks. Both of them did a very good job and were pleasant companions.
Kindest regards,
Gert Holmertz,
Sweden.
Hello! Duptho,
I am writing this note to ask if you received the binoculars my wife and I sent, through you, to Utam? I hope you stayed long enough in NYC to receive it! Many thanks again for kindly taking it to Utam.
We often talk about our wonderful trip last November-December to Bhutan. In fact, this Saturday, my wife and I are going to Vancouver for a week of holidays. We are meeting with the other group members of our trip and look forward to seeing their pictures and re-living our experiences. I am sure one of these days we will return - but it will be during the flowering season!
Please give our regards to Utam and Ajid.
Best regards to you too.

Dear Mr. Rinzin, This morning we came back to Japan safely. We had a very good time and were so relaxed in Buhtan for these 10 days. I really appreciate you for everything to prepare for our tour. The guide and driver, Mr. Kado and Mr. Sonam had wonderful and
lovable character and made me feel so comfortable!! The accomodations and dishes everyday were so nice, above all, the Bhutanese people were very friendly.
And, Thank you very much for your visiting our hotel, we had a very good time to talk to you. We would like to visit Bhutan again in the future and introduce the attraction of Bhutan tour to our friends!
Thank you very much again!!
Best regards,

Dear Rinzin, I returned from India on Sunday having had a marvellous time there. But the 11 days I spent with Shaun and Lucy in Bhutan will always be fondly remembered. You looked after us extremely well, we saw a great deal and I loved every minute. For my part my only regret is that I did not see any of the wonderful paintings or weaving being actually done. I would also suggest that you should be aware that the English (particularly) enjoy walking and having picnics. When you fix an itinerary it might be worth asking the clients whether they would like a picnic instead of a lunch in an hotel on some days. The fact that there is no hassling (i.e. begging or tipping) is a significant bonus. Of course one does get used to it in India and Nepal, but it can spoil things if you are not feeling robust. I can give no greater tribute than to say I should love to come back. Many thanks, Ann Procopé. UK
Dear Duptho, We are eventually home again after a very lengthy trip. I am now sitting down and viewing the photos of Bhutan which are really very good! We did so enjoy visiting your country. It was very beautiful and we were privileged to have JB and Utam as driver and guide. Together they were great and with the long journey we made, I never once felt unsafe with JB at the wheel. Thank you very much for organising everything for us, it was very much appreciated.
Nepal was very different, apart from the Himalayas and one excellent hotel, The Tiger Mountain Lodge, it was all very tiring having to jostle with pushy sellars and the endless people asking for money. Kathmandu was a dump and I really do not feel like recommending it to anyone!
I will, of course, be recommending your Company to anyone who decides to travel to Bhutan. I am having to have a knee replacement operation in December and so will be slightly out of action for a while.
Anyway, again many thanks for all your help. With Best Wishes, Lucy Allison, UK
Everything is great and I think often of the Bhutan trip. I will definitely be
coming with Taylor but it will be the spring of next year as I can't find
the time before then. I will confirm around Christmas time.

Dear Mr Rinzin, Hope this mail finds you well and that the rest of the season has been both busy and enjoyable for yourself and your guides. I would like to thank you once again for organising such a wonderful trip. Certainly was the experience of a lifetime - we talk about the trip constantly and have fantastic memories of yourself, your country and everyone we met there. Only regret Daniel will remember so little - we will have to bring him back sometime.
Thank you again for all the extra trouble you went to make the trip so special, as well as for the generosity in lending us some money. Apologies that it has taken so long to correspond - the manic "real" world imposed itself pretty dramatically on my return.
Thanks for the photo as well - that is superb. We will send you a few photos soon. Please send our regards (Daniel's especially) to Utam and Dorje.
